Wood Carving by Yoshihiro Suda

"Suda’s work is also firmly rooted in the contemporary practice of installation. He strategically places his small sculptures—which might be in the form of a clump of weeds or a single rose—in unexpected places, such as a crack on a wall or a window frame. Suda’s installations transform the way we view his artworks and their surrounding environment."

Product Feature - Handmade Pom Pom

When I first discovered these beautiful pom poms, I was impressed their the random color combinations. It reminds me about those warm winter of my childhood.
A pom pom always appear on a hat or a coat. But the pom poms made by American artist Muffy Brandt pop out themselves shouting," I am colorful and nice!"

The artist described about the production process:
These pom poms are made like a sushi roll, all the yarns laid together, then gathered perpendicularly. They are then trimmed by hand. Before trimming, each pom pom is big and floppy, about the size of a grapefruit. As the yarns are trimmed a colorful sphere emerges, no two are the same!

When i first feel the pom poms in my hand, i was surprised how packed the yarns were put together, making the whole thing very solid. I am willing to hold it in my hand for a long time!

The pom pom is on the shop already.

We are getting ready. The shop will be open in a few days!

Axel Erlandson's Tree Circus

Mark Primack's documentation of Axel Erlandson's Tree Circus

"Erlandson taught himself over a period of decades how to train the growth of trees into shapes of his own design and he considered his methods trade secrets. When children asked how he got his trees to grow like this, he would reply, 'I talk to them.' "
